Woman Beats Man Bowling on TV
In the finals of the bowling contest that CBS Sports broadcast this past weekend… it was, according to one of the announcers, apparently the first time that a woman beat a man (in bowling) on national television.
Well, if that’s true, we can think of two reasons.
First, we wonder if national television (including cable) has ever placed men and women in competition with each other (in bowling).
Second, it’s interesting to think that the new “technology” that has made bowling balls more powerful… have “equalized” the differences between women and men (sort of like atatls, apparently).
Of the two explanations, we expect that the first is more important than the second… but that both have some relevance. Plus, who could resist making an obscure reference to atlatls?
